“Let’s Get Them Homes” Sponsorship Adoption Program
We are delighted that you are considering sponsoring a homeless animal at the Tehama County Animal Care Center. Your compassion means so much to these abandoned pets. When you choose to sponsor a pet, your gift of $10 or more will help that animal and so many others in need.
Below are some answers to frequently asked questions about sponsorship gifts.
What is the “Let’s get Them Homes” Sponsorship Adoption program?
The “Let’s get Them Homes” Sponsorship Adoption program is a way for you to help homeless pets even if you cannot adopt. By giving a monetary donation, you will be working with P.E.T.S. to help the Tehama County Animal Care Center care for these neglected, abused, and abandoned pets while they wait for their forever home.
A sponsorship gift is a one-time or recurring donation of at least $10 made in honor of an animal at the Tehama County Animal Care Center. You can sponsor an animal in your own name, or as a gift for someone else.
What does my sponsorship go toward?
The sponsorship program allows you to make a tax-deductible donation that will support a homeless pet who is being cared for by the Tehama County Animal Care Center. 100% of your donation will go directly for the benefit of the pet.
Your contribution will assist in offsetting veterinary expense expenditures and assist in lowering adoption fees so many more animals can go into warm loving homes.
Can I make a monthly sponsorship gift?
As a sponsor, you can establish reoccurring donations that will help different animals throughout the year, or you can make a one-time contribution.
Which animals can I sponsor?
Visit the ADOPTABLE pets at either the Tehama County Animal Services Petfinder website (https://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?shelter_id=CA255 ) or the P.E.T.S. Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/PETSTehama )to meet the animals available to be sponsored, or you can let us choose an animal for you!
I want an update about my animal. Is that possible?
Can I help my sponsorship animal get adopted?
Yes! Sharing your animal’s story and helping him or her find a home is one of the best things you can do for your sponsored pet. Sharing their profile on social media is a great idea. Have an idea for a story you’d like to see there? Send your idea to email@example.com
If my sponsorship animal is adopted, can I talk to the family who adopted the animal and can I get updates?
The family or adopter may want privacy. However, we do occasionally get their permission to share their stories on our website, or on Facebook, so be sure to check either of those sites!
We hope you become a special friend to one of the wonderful residents at the Tehama County Animal Care Center and help us keep them happy and healthy until they find their forever home.
